Del Taco is one of the few chains on this atlas that explicitly labels their Crinkle-Cut Fries as vegan on their own allergen chart — alongside their Hash Brown Sticks and the Beyond Meat items. The fries themselves are a clean four-ingredient recipe (potatoes, oil, dextrose, color-retention agent). The asterisk, as Del Taco itself notes: "our restaurants use the same frying oil to prepare menu items that could have meat in them." Beer-battered crispy fish and crispy chicken share the oil.

Vegan certification by self-disclosure Del Taco's allergen chart marks both "Crinkle Cut Fries" and "Hash Brown Sticks" with X marks in the Vegetarian and Vegan columns. That's stronger than most chains do — it's a positive labeling claim, not just absence-of-allergens. It doesn't carry the same weight as Taco Bell's third-party AVA certification on their Nacho Fries, but it's the chain itself standing behind the vegan claim.
